I was a 37 year old man who never had a girlfriend due to a belief that a man should not lead a woman on if he already knows she is not the one he wants to marry.  To continue the relationship past that point is to defraud the woman in various ways such as wasting her time or damaging her emotionally.   And how long does it take to know if she is the right one?  Well from my perspective if you know what you're looking for you will recognize it quickly when you find it. 

An hour and half after meeting Shaina I knew she was who I wanted to marry.  The whys thereof are another story....On a side note I hear about men/women "dating" for years and they still don't know if they want to get married or not.  I think a woman in that scenario is naive and fooling herself, and the man in that scenario is a selfish coward.

So I quickly adopted her 3 year old and 1 year old by God's grace.  The next thing you know we've been blessed with a baby every 15 or 16 months.  Can't imagine life without one of our blessings.  Shaina had always envisioned a large family and I was open to a "larger" family--larger family likely being 4 or 5.  She's just 28 and now our 5th blessing, Felicity Summer, has arrived so it's going to be interesting!

I trust God will give us the right number and why would anybody--especially christian believers--consciously choose to block God's blessings from their life.  It brings up the valid question of whether they have submitted to the Lordship of Christ.  I'll let the theologians handle that one and I do not judge other christians who practice birth control but I do have legitimate questions/concerns about it....
